Polarizing article on using psychology tricks (amongst other things) to 'jar' the brain into pushing the viewer to look at your photos. Some interesting ideas here but don't conflate attention grabbing with meaningful composition. I am a huge fan of Christoph Morlinghaus and his precise, monolithic style compositions would likely be

Reading this reminded me of The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction. Benjamin argued that photography dispels the aura of the artwork through reproducibility. This piece flips that: the uniqueness isn’t in the object, but in the act of seeing that produces it.
